ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (June 27, 2024) – Prototype Sprint Series Association presented by Hankook (PSSA) reaches the halfway point of the 2024 season this weekend at Road America. With 12 races planned across the country, PSSA is comprised of an East Championship and West Championship, with drivers in each competing for a $10,000 year-end prize. Twice a year, drivers from both champions come together for a special combination event, with the Road America SpeedTour marking the first joint event of 2024.
Competing this weekend will be PSSA West points leader, Ron Fletcher. Fletcher became PSSA’s inaugural champion last year, and picked right back up with his winning ways this season. Sweeping the races at Thunderhill Raceway Park, Sonoma Raceway and winning two of the three events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Fletcher holds a commanding lead in the standings. The San Diego native will be piloting his 2022 Revolution A-1 500 at the iconic track in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
PSSA East points leader Judd Miller will also take the green flag this weekend. Miller finished second in the overall standings last season, and picked right back up as a championship favorite this year. Having competed at both Eagles Canyon and Road Atlanta in 2024, Miller recorded two wins and has yet to finish off the podium in his 2022 Revolution 500SC.
To date, racers from 10 different states have competed in the 2024 PSSA season, including nine series newcomers, like Sheboygan, Wisconsin resident, James French, who will be making his PSSA debut this weekend.
Spectator gates for the Road America SpeedTour open tomorrow, with tickets available at the gate or online at RoadAmerica.com. A live stream of the event will be featured on YouTube.com/SpeedTourTV.
